Glad I didnt draw this year esp with fuel prices and taking livestock. Hopefully next year 6 points is enough. Looks like MT/WY will be getting a good snowfall so good luck to those hunting now

I was lucky. Hunted when the temps were warm. It keep most of the elk with 3/4 of a mile of water. I also hunted places where pack out would be easier.

He might get that much mileage in searching for bugling elk. It seems like a poor technique.

Temps were high 70s to freezing at night. You can get an elk in the shade and cold by morning. A little planning and the meat should be ok.
