Trying to decide between a Helix 10 SI G2N or a Helix 7 SI G3N.

Ive never owned Humminbird before so I have no clue if the improvements between the G2 and G3 are worth a smaller screen.

Those are the only two options and I plan to buy either tonight or tomorrow so I can get them installed in the next week.

I already have a Helix 7 Chirp/GPS G3N I bought over winter that will go on the bow.

Fishing consists of jigging and trolling walleyes. Bass and musky casting in the shallows, and the occasional bobbber panfishing.

I'm not an expert but I bought a new boat last year and went through the same research. I ended up with the Gen 2 Helix 10. The guys I talked to thought the difference wasn't enough to justify the costs unless you're heavy into tournaments. I'm still figuring everything out but it's been good.

Helix 10 is a better unit in my opinion. I just picked one up because of the big sale Cabela's was running. Has more pixels on a much larger screen, so should provide better detail overall.
