Howa 1500

My son decided he didn't want to borrow one of my guns for this upcoming season. Can't say as I blame him, a guy needs his own guns. From what I've seen on the show and from this forum, I suggested he look at Howa along with the others he was interested in. After lots of internet research and talking to the local gun shops he settled on a Howa in 7mm Rem Mag with a 6.5-20x44 Vortex Viper. It looks like a good shooter, the other night his best group with 168gr Berger VLDs was 0.79" for a 3 shot group at 100yds, and with 180gr VLDs he had one group at 0.58"

Good looking gun . I have the same in 308 and gonna get another in either 300wm or 7mm. My 308 is one of the best shooters that I have in my safe. Your son should be very happy with it. !!!

I'm convinced those guns shoot better than I can shoot. They are really accurate. That looks like a good set up. What rings did you use?

It's easy to blame the gun sometimes, but it's almost always me that's the problem. My son put Talley base/ring combos on his gun.
