Homespun decoy

I just finished making this decoy. He has a handle in the back, so that he can be used to sneak up on turkeys also. The guys at Mojo call that "reaping" I guess, so maybe I'll just name him the "Grim Reaper".

I got in too much of a hurry and finished my season, but I think I am going to take a friend of mine out this next week-weather permitting-and give him a run. It should be fun.

Yep. Spray foam, 1/4-inch plywood, a handle and a fold-down stand made of wire removed from a campaign sign. I have less than $15 in the whole project. It weighs very little, but is pretty durable.

I can't wait to try it.

I may re-paint the wings and then take time and paint better feathers on, but I really doubt the birds will care anyway. I'll see what happens.

I just hope this stupid weather lays down a little so that I can get my buddy out to test it. I want to take a video of his tired ass using it to crawl across an alfalfa field!
