If he’s truly going to qualify for the Olympic trials he will have to be in USA track and fields testing. If track is like other Olympic sports they have to know where you are and when you are going. They can drop a test on you at any minute and you have a certain amount of time to provide a sample or you’ll be suspended.

Post-race interview, he said effectively it was about the mental side and not the technical side, but also that "they" would pay him like 100k, which he donated to the race cause (or something along those lines). He admitted he has a long way to go. There's a big difference between 2:30 and 2:12-13 it'll take to make the Olympics. All that being said, I hope so to. I like to see people set lofty goals and then hit them.

This was my thought. As a former collegiate distance runner, I can’t even imagine the chafing caused by running that far at that pace in a pair of jeans. Surprised he still has his legs attached to his pelvis.

Back in the day guys would wear women's panty hose to keep from chafing while hiking. At least they said that was why they wore them.
