7 miles up and over a dog gone mountain. I shot him at 5:30 pm and back to the truck at 11:00 pm with the first load. Night in the truck and back up for the second load the next morning. Grind of a pack out. 110 lbs with the first load and 80 lbs with the second. I was really wishing I would have had a "good" friend there.... with a packboard. He squared out at 6' 4".

Nice looking bear, sounds like a tough solo pack.

Does he have a yellow ear tag?

Wondering that myself.Big bear,congratulations.

Thank you all.

Yeah, he was tagged. Talked w/ the Bio today and he wasnt sure when he was tagged b/ they havent tagged like that for quite a while. Not sure if I will get any history on him or not. He was the biggest, oldest mountain bear I have seen in a long time. We get big bears out by the coast here but up high they just dont get that big.

Here is a shameless MR plug...for the good of OYOA!
