We have had good luck with winners choice usually of 3 similarly priced but different categories of firearms.
Rifle, shotgun pistol.
With a good relationship with gun store they may only charge you for the one selected.

As can be seen in this thread, hard to please everyone.
We have also had pretty good luck with custom firearms or a little upscale firearms but that really comes down to what ticket buyer you are targeting.

We will have a guided NE WY pronghorn hunt (easy to draw unit) and a Weatherby 307 Alpine ST in 22 creedmoor with our logo engraved on the floor plate as our raffle prize for Sheep show. $100 per ticket, 100 tickets available. Anyone interested come find us at sheep show!
$100 a ticket and you win the hunt and the rifle or two difdeeent raffles?

I've raffled a rifle or two and can share some observations.

Best bet is to go with what's popular at the moment. The last few years, I've just asked the gun builder or manufacturer what they are building or selling the most of...build or sell me that for my raffles.

I've purchased very few tickets for guns I was super excited to keep if I won. More important is that it's a cause I support and it's something that is popular and will be easy to flip into something I do want.

You won't please even close to everyone.

A build in cartridge of choice for the winner. mtmuley

raffles are so saturated with rifles, I would literally buy a ticket for anything but another rifle
Especially tika, or browning 🤮

Now, Vintage 700s, red pad rugers, M77's, and Red Labels, cool stuff like that....im getting my wallet out.

That would make me sad if you specifically did that. Wed have to find a way to make it happen.
Nah I'd rather turn that back in and let you guys double down. Guided pronghorn isn't for me, love pronghorn and hunting them though. But I'd love to see someone else enjoy it and you guys double your proceeds. No need to be sad about that. Thats what the whole point of it is anyhow. At least imo. (Now you guys give me a guided yukon moose hunt your not prying that form my cold dead hands).

An "Old Timers Classics Raffle"?

I actually kind of like that. A nicely used and well taken care of browning superposed would make a fine raffle win for any a man.

Brock,

Im sure you have looked into rifle raffle rules, but we found out that raffling off a rifle can be extremely cumbersome depending on state regs. In KS we had to mail a physical ticket to anyone in KS that bought a chance, which was a major pain in the ass.

You're absolutely right. Every state is different. Transfers can be a PIA too. Just have to play by the rules and expect things to go wrong. 🤷‍♂️
