306 yards, boom, thwack, hooves to the sky and tumbled down the hill dead. Love the Hammers out of my 6.5. Thanks @El Jason for your load. Shooting![]()
Everyone knows 125gr is too light, won't kill elkHoping to put a 125 HHT into a nice bull elk in the Breaks in a week and a half...
That's a hammer bullet?
I was under the impression that all hammer bullets lost their petals after entry. Would that count as a bullet "failure"?
It's hard to argue a dead bear.
That certainly doesn't look like the 220 HHT picture on the website. Bands start just above the boat tail. That's a hammer bullet?

Additional thought. You’re right. That’s what he said he ordered when he was going to shoot hammers in it and what he said he shit it with. I’ll have to ask him and do a little more digging on it.

Mine does it too!
I don't believe so.He says they are the hammer 220 hht. Is the hammer picture on the website just a generic picture? I’ve never held any of the 220s so I don’t know.

I was thinking E-TIP, but I have no experience with them at all.It sure looks like an Etip to me with the boat tail angle, and the groove right below the mushroom.
Never have seen a Hammer look like that. Boattail doesn't look right either. Might send the pic to Steve. mtmuley
