I have a general elk tag for Montana and will be hunting the SW part of the state. We are planning on hunting the last week of rifle season in November (scheduling issues) and am curious as to what the griz are doing at that time of the year? I'm sure every year is different but would like to hear what everyone's experiences are dealing with them at that time of year.

I have to admit I did laugh at that as I am a Bison fan. Say what you will.

There's some that stay out all winter. Just plan on them being out and act accordingly.
