That is not a hard choice. Too much risk of not recovering for me to take that shot.
My dad tells a story about when he was guiding back in the 60's. He and a hunter were hunting a narrow ridge, The hunter was a tail gunner in the war and had little hearing left dew to his service. Dad said he was looking off the ridge when all of a sudden a monster buck walks up out of the juniper less then a 100 yards away. Dad described the buck as having two tree stumps on his head, points going everywhere. The hunter was 10 yards away looking off the other side of the ridge and try as he might dad could not get his attention with out spooking the buck. By the time the hunter got back the only shot was right in the back end and even though it was close range, he would not take the shot. Always thought that was very sportsman like.
