For those of you in the Bozeman area, we are hosting our first annual Freezer Burn party on Friday, July 31. I wanted to name it after a small gathering my Dad used to have with a few of his buddies, "Geezers Clean Yer Freezers," but everyone else thought Freezer Burn was a better name.
Fresh Tracks, MTN TOUGH, PEAX, Traeger, and RMEF are hosting an afternoon/evening to celebrate hunting, food, conservation, and the fun of getting together on a beautiful Montana day. Details at the QR code on the poster, but here's the quick version.
Bring some thawed meat to cook on the grills (not a meat donation event). Traeger has provided us grills for everything. We'll toss it on a grill or a flattop and cook it for you. We'll have all of the sides, utensils, etc. Bring your own drink, unless you drink beer, as there will be free beer from Bridger Brewing (at least until it runs out).
For those with an empty freezer or those who can't bring anything, we'll be cooking burgers, tacos, brats, and steaks from meat that we have. Big thanks to Traeger, who is bringing a crew of grill masters, and chefs Jamie Teigen and Corey Piersol.
There will be a raffle with all of the proceeds going to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. The location is at MTN TOUGH's parking lot. Time is 4-10pm (on until the police show up), Friday, July 31. Hope you can be there. Bring some thawed meat, a smile, and a few bucks to donate to RMEF.
