20 coyotes, 22 rats to test the waters and a few bags of castor. I have been hearing reports all across the province that coyote numbers are down. Personally my catch is down 20%. Thankfully I have only had to toss 3/40 because of lice or mange. I have heard of some guys tossing 50%

I like that pic. Let me know how the rats and castor do at the auction. I'm going to thump on them the first time we get a warm stretch in February or March.

Those silver/pale coyotes should be top price.

Congrats.

Thanks! These aren't even nice coyotes I live to far north and east for nice ones. All these are brown/reddish tints to the fur. I will dig up some old pictures of where I used to live. Farther south and much nicer colours. I will let you know on the prices. Castor prices especially have been nice the past few years epically since its paid in US$ so when they convert it to CAD$ I was getting a 25-30% bonus

Mange has hit here hard for many years. It pretty much ran me out of the coyote trapping. We trapped 700 rats when the price was high and then the water and the price went away. I hope we get one more decent shot at the rats before I can't do it anymore. I have 400 traps sitting and waiting.....

Good beaver catch from this spring for Randy. 9 beavers and 4 rats out of 15 330's
