Tim Crews, who publishes a paper (The Sacramento Valley Mirror) on the Westside. He is...irascible. He owns the paper, does sales, reporting, editing...all of it. He’s regularly fought for transparency and access to government records, and gone to jail at one point for refusing to reveal his sources. Love him or hate him, the work he does is impressive. He apparently got a DUI and true to his nature, he put the story, including his mugshot, on the front page of the paper.

We need more people like this guy.
