Football General Talk

[mtmuley]

Be glad if a clown hangs up posting on HT. mtmuley

[Treeshark]

I'll sure be glad when this clown finally hangs up the cleats.

Not me. I was on the edge of my seat watching him lead that final drive, it was vintage ARod. Greatest of all time.

He’s not even the greatest Packer QB of all time. Favre is.

Man, I loved Favre and his heart- but in opinion he’s not in the same conversation in terms of skill.

Nope. Favre was a football player. Rodgers a quarterback. If that makes sense. mtmuley

It absolutely does. I think ARod was the better QB, but I don’t disagree about the distinction.

It does not.

[mtmuley]

It does not.

I knew it wouldn't to you. Keep watching. You will figure it out. mtmuley

[Treeshark]

Jordan Love is probably a better QB than Baker Mayfield, but Baker is a football player.

I can’t describe it but I feel like I get what @mtmuley is saying.

[BrentD]

I knew you would say that.

In the meantime, do you really want to say Favre was not a QB? Must some sort of woke football vocabulary.

He was a quarterback. Did well. But he played the game sometimes like he wasn't. Not trying to diminish his skill at all. All time great. I like football players at any position. Kinda my point. Bet Favre could have played multiple positions. Hence, football player. Rodgers? Not so much. mtmuley

I am still trying to envision Farve, the left tackle.

Your vision is way off. mtmuley

Thornton's ankle injury.

Crazy game that was to watch.

Which one? Do not know Thorton

[mevertsen]

Edited. Thornton. With the Chiefs

That sounds more gruesome than average. I watched the last couple minutes of that game, but spent the bulk of the day on my tractor pushing gravel and mud.

[mevertsen]

When the play was going the camera scanned with him lying there. His ankle was twisted to the outside 45 degrees, and an obvious deformation to the inside. Ugly.
