Florida needs a Black Bear season

All indications from the FWC point to Florida having a bear season in some capacity. I think a yearly limited quota hunt would be the best option.

How does florida have 1/3rd the bears Montana/Wyo does with much less land, and still no season? Another fun fact - there are apparently more black bears in Florida than Utah.

We could try sending you some of Montana's legislature - with that kind of area and population there'd be a 6 month season.

We managed to successfully reinstate a bear season here in NJ. If we can do it, I’m sure Florida can too. Can’t think of any other state more anti-hunting than NJ except for maybe Cali. Comparatively, it should be a picnic to get it through in Fl.
Hopefully they can. What is the general size of the Bears in NJ? Are you getting those 400 lb+ sizes like a lot of the East?
