Florida needs a Black Bear season

I assumed they had a season? Or did they go the California way and ban it?
It's been banned for most of my life. They had a brief season a few years ago but it was shut down quickly by the uninformed crowd.

Biologist estimate the population to be around 4500 and feel like a limited season is becoming an option .

There was a season 10 years ago and the quota was exceeded by the 2nd day.

Ufdah! It’ll take a Rattle snake over that any day. At least they warn you, most of the time.
The coral snakes have their fangs in the back of their mouth , they have to actually chew on you to inject the venom , or so I hear . The Water Moccasins are what you have watch for , and Rattlers .
I almost stepped om this guy my first year down here , I had to jump over him , huge pucker factor !
