Not really, but they say this is the fishing capital of the world, so I might as well have some fun at it.

Purchased a kayak about a week ago and spent the weekend paddling nearby the house.

Yesterday evening I hooked up with the redfish pictured below. He sure gave up a good fight. I look forward to getting into some more of that action.

I'm up in Mexico Beach near Tyndall. I don't think they have tarpon around here. Might be one weekend where a roadtrip is in order.

That's far north of here. The Tarpon are starting to run but the bonefish and permit have been a challenge because of the wind on the flats. we seldom see redfish here.

O.K. Ovis...we'll let the kayak skate by since its hunter orange but now your taking pictures of snails?? At least have a thong clad beach babe holding them up ;)

Ovis, Great pictures. Tell me, are gators attracted to hunter orange? I notice the two white tailed gator baits are being very cautious..

Glad you all like the pics.

It's hard to justify to the neighbors why I am sitting on the balcony with my camera and a telephoto lense taking pics of the beach. They see me doing that and chit will hit the fan when they let the wife know. In the meantime, I'll see what I can do going covert. ;)

Great pics Ovis. I like the one of the deer in the water and WTG on a nice fish.
Just hard to believe I am seeing pictures in the fishing section. :D

Hopefully there will be more pics to come. I think redfish should count towards the Fantasy Hunt, don't you?

No, casted to this one. I did spend the earlier part of the day trolling in the gulf for Spanish Mackerel, but no hook ups. Supposedly the red fishing gets good next month and you can sight fish them. I got lucky with this one. I'll probably break out the fly rod soon to fish for these reds and sea trout.

I would think they should. One point for each foot of fish caught... :)
I can see the Reds counting, at least they are real fish, But no way should bss count.
A red is just a salt water carp LOL
