I'm looking to burn pronghorn points this year in Wyoming and get out of that game. A unit I'm interested in offers a Type 2 tag with more favorable dates for my schedule. The Type 1 and Type 2 appear to require the same amount of points, though the Type 2 has more restricted access while the Type 1 is unit wide.
Interested in reasons for they would both require the same number of points, yet one has significantly less area available to hunt.
Is it as simple as better season dates that don't conflict with other species? Or, could the hunting be "better," later? This seems unlikely considering they would have already had pressure the prior month.
