First job?

Feeding calves in exchange for my animals feed and vet care on the family dairy, plus $2 a week allowance. I was 8 or 9 years old.
Raised 2 grade heifers to buy my first registered heifer when I was 10.

Paper route 11-15 , plus mowing route customers.

My oldest brother who was 14 or 15 at the time had 15 or 20 yards to mow for all the old ladies on our side of town. He always seemed to have some sport or church function to go to and would make me mow. Come to think about it, the only time he did the rounds was once a month they paid him. I still ask him when he is going to pay me when I see him.

Worked the concession stand at the local racetrack on Sunday nights during the summer. IIRC I made $35 for the night. Put up hay/straw a few times, but it'd dang near kill me because of my allergies. That didn't start until I was a freshman in high school. Those were the only jobs I was allowed to have until after I graduated high school.
