First Fly Trip 2013

Hit a local trout stream here in Westchester County NY on Wednesday. Had some luck with one wild brown trout and two stockey browns that were hold overs from last year. Got the first two on a nymph rig and the third hammered a streamer just after the sun went down. All in all a fun few hours on the water.

Whats the first fish? A hybrid of some sort?

I thought it was a wild brown, but I suppose it could be a hybrid - we have rainbow and brownies in that creek...

Nuclear plant close by? Never saw a trout that looked like that.

Almost looks like a tiger trout, but not quite. Either way, a couple nice looking fish.

Ha ha ha! No nuclear plants near by, pulled these guys from a watershed that feeds NYC about 40 miles north of the city. Not sure what that first one is though.
