Finally got out

Been waiting a while to get out backpacking/scouting. Responsibilities kept getting in the way. But I made it this weekend! Was looking for deer, but found some worthwhile elk as well. I feel like the season has begun!

Great pics. I don't put my tent as close to the river when I'm working as you did to that cliff out of fear of drowning when taking a leak during the middle of the night. I'd limit the whiskey with that setup. I got out scouting tonight too. Found some elk a few miles off and ran into a few bears. However, holding the binos in one hand and the camera in the other makes for a very fuzzy pictures of bears. Another reminder that I need a spotting scope.
