The Montana Citizen's Elk Management Coalition will be holding "Elk Camp at the Capitol" on October 15th to talk about the policy recommendations in the Symposium proceedings, unveil our legislative priorities and talk about how we can keep bringing people together to find common ground on thorny issues. We'll also have an elk calling competition with son-to-be-announced prizes!

This story popped today in the Billings Gazette as well: https://billingsgazette.com/news/st...cle_76c4c3f6-3acc-11ed-8274-6f30b44f2e3f.html

It's great to see that PLPW, The Citizen's Elk Advisory Board and the Coalition are all leading in the right direction (Huge thanks to all who have been a part of all of these efforts - many Hunt Talkers are part of all of these efforts!) there's still some big needs relative to the habitat portion of the equation.

There's a mountain of work that's been done on getting better outcomes for elk management in Montana. This is a great opportunity to celebrate that work and to push forward with more ideas that are geared towards increasing public hunting success rates, improving public land habitat and helping private landowners deal with the impacts of elk abundance and ensuring better land conditions.

Saw this was delayed to the 2023 legislative session. Stoked to attend regardless though.

Unfortunately so. We're working on the event for early during the session.

We are having some candidate forums in Missoula, Bozeman and Great Falls. Starting a separate thread on that now.

I'll be struggling with the warmth of Arizona
