On May 14, 2011, the Colorado River was running at 9,890 cfs here, on its way to over 28,000 cfs near the end of June. Today it is running at 3,820 cfs, and with the snowpack remaining, it doesn't look like it will be getting much higher.

Dink's dad will probably be able to rock-hop this fall.

I do business with some guys in the san Luis valley and they claim the aquifer there is as low as its been since the early 70's and that they are 4-7 million acrefeet lower than average.

Combined with large areas of pine beetle kill it could be a rough year for north half of CO and southern WY.

Looks to be dryer than a popcorn ...t in CO.
Idaho not in too bad of shape with a wet spring, but will have plenty of fire fuels if we dry up too quickly. 80+ temps already and not the best scenario.

Yeah, its been super dry here for a long time. Hope we have a decent monsoon season
