I've been worried about her for a few months now. She always sounded so optimistic in those almost cryptic messages about her health, but I was worried there was something serious beneath the surface. Very sad news about an American treasure.

Dolly Parton was member of an increasingly-close-to-extinct class of celebrity where nearly all folks liked her. She was a uniter, and a Great American, and also had a close-to-extinct level of class also no longer seen in celebrities. Did a lot of good. Heck of an artist and icon.
