Does anyone feel like outdoor recreation declining back to post-COVID level?

Hunting aside. That’s still a shitshow and worse every year but this was the case even pre-Covid

I kindve noticed this last year. Trailheads were less busy and campgrounds easier to get.

This year - at least this far - has been even better. Both this past weekend and today, trailheads that had been busy for a few years were empty. Campsites nearby were unused.

Might be coincidental and it’s still really early in summer. Just curious.

That’s one positive to come out of all of this.
Unless you're a business in Cody, Jackson, Gardiner, West Yellowstone, Bozeman, Pinedale, etc. etc. etc. that relies on tourism for business.

All of which has downstream impacts on the rest of the Western States.

But, yeah, I bet most of those small businesses voted against themselves, so....they get to find out.

I honestly don’t think there will be much of a decrease. If there is, I’ll enjoy my trips to the park even more.

Seems as crowded as ever in my neck of the woods. Hope the beach is less crowded this June for our vacation but I won't hold my breath.

My understanding is that mountain bike, motorcycle, atv, and utv manufacturers have seen massive sales declines since seeing a big Covid boom

Arctic cat went out of business/was bought out and KTM is in all sorts of financial problems
