The Mrs put a ham in the oven late this afternoon (after I cleaned the fridge at lunch so she could reach everything without having to bend over). I did the baked taters and peas after I got home from work. Then was, "Okay, I am taking a shower on my own and in private because I need to figure out how to do it. Do not come in unless I scream." After being the caregiver for the last two weeks I am losing some of my duties (Sytes you can chime in, or your Mrs). As a caregiver, you kind of get into a rut as to what you need to do every day/night without ever thinking about the person you love. Let's see, I have already been in and picked up towels, brushes, Q-tips and etc in the last half hour.PT starts on Monday, so begins another chapter. Then it will be carpooling for at least a month. God love her and wouldn't have it any other way.

Had I dealt with all my wife endured... dealing with the likes of me ~ ...

Good on ya, IDNative. A leading reason for my recovery was the support of my wife.

Wife and I both endured arthroplasty this year. Mine was especially burdensome ...for her. I whined for 5 months while she never complained and went back to 10 hr hospital shifts after 8 weeks.

Thanks for reminding me to appreciate my lovely tough wife more native.

Thanks guys! Major scare, wiped out on her crutches today, but luckily was on the carpet. My stomach is still doing flip flops.

Glad to hear your wife was ok. Crutches can definitely add a new dimension to moving about the house.

Get her a little 3 or 4 wheel cart-like contraption to lean on and push around and she will have a lot better stability if she has to have help walking for awhile! They are about like a mini grocery cart and she would even be able to carry a few things from room to room and still be very stable. Prayers out to you guys and wives!!!

Thanks. Have discussed this, but need to get to the point she is *weight bearing*. Will find out tomorrow.
