Ditching GoHunt

I dropped them a few years ago. It did help with application decisions but their mapping, store, and other content...mehh. I did win a rifle from them but the auto billing kinda rubbed me wrong. I use Onx and get a discount being a hunter ed instructor plus very familiar with it.

Not even familiar with GoHunt, but I also use and much appreciate ONX ... especially after ONX readily provided my location coordinates to the sheriff and Two Bear Air soon arrived and hoisted my sore butt off the wilderness mountain when I broke my knee

OnX tested my navigation skills the other day. I went out to an area that I had downloaded a map on last year, to find out that although the green rectangle was on my screen, there was no data in it anymore.

they lost me forever as a subscriber when they sat on their hands re: corner crossing. The silence was deafening.

Understandable, but that one is a very slippery slope.

I have had my fair share of issue with goHUNT mapping system they have resolved a few of them but one of them that annoys me is when you turn on the direction and it’s 90 or 180 degrees off.

I’ve been a loyal customer for several years and this year I think I’m done.

While the draw data has been great the maps are driving me away.

This year my buddy ran OnX and I used GoHunt. There were several issues on our hunt which led to a fearful visit from the Game Warden. His map showed we were on BLM and mine showed it as private where the antelope died. It in fact was BLM and we were just getting a random check, had us very nervous the way it took place.

Next is my Colorado deer tag, I emailed them this summer telling them there was an error in the unit. None of the private land shows in a large swath. Neighboring units show it but not where I need to hunt. It’s been several months and a couple emails and there is no resolution. They keep emailing me to get me to renew my credit card and I can’t without some sort of resolution. Paying for a premium service that doesn’t work and is not updated isn’t worth it. Not when Onx has a similar product.

I’m having trouble with GoHunt maps showing my location as miles away from where I’m really standing. Anyone else dealt with this and is there a fix?

Does it do it after the app has been open for 5 min? So that way it’s locked on to enough satellites. It could just be your phone updating slow.
