Deer camp can be a big part of the fun of the hunt. Do you hunt from home, a cabin, a shack, a wall tent, a backpack tent, a fancy lodge, or a converted barn? Let's see!

I'll start:

Here is deer camp in the San Bernardino Natl Forest at Horse Spring primitive campground. Temps around 30 at dawn and up to the 60s on a sunny day. Snow a possibility but unusual until after the season. About 7,000' altitude.

Mine is an odd twist. We use our ice fishing sleeper shack. We park it on the 2 track lane that leads back to the little 40 acre piece we hunt. It serves us well as a place to eat lunch or sleep over when doing an evening hunt followed by an AM hunt. Even though it's only a 25 minute drive from a warm house and comfy bed, it's still fun. I will try to include the best pic I can of the interior. It has 3 beds.

Idaho 2013

Here is our camp from Idaho last year. The horse trailer has been modified so I can haul a quad inside, take the quad out and set up my cot for the night. Fully insulated so I stay nice and toasty on those cold nights.
