Deadheads - Let's see 'em

A few dead heads. All dead heads have a story to tell weather they died of natural deatt, hunter, predators etc.

Found this whitetail in 2000. Was lucky enough to find all of his sheds. The buck likely died of EHD. The deadhead nets 151 as a 3 by 4 with 27 6/8 and 29 inch mainbeams

Thats awesome. I wonder what caused him to grow a double main beam for only one year of his life.

It looks to me like he injured the velvet antler very early in the growing stage.
He broke the top mainbeam off in October. I found it in a field.

Found this buck last winter, NOT a lion kill.



Most of mine are lion kills on a winter range here in Oregon.

The one to the right of the goat was a dead head, got a bunch more hung up downstairs when I have a minute I'll spread them out so you can see them and take a picture.

September 2008 CMR National Wildlife Refuge Montana just north east of Iron Stake

Sent GPS coordinates to CMR officials not sure if they picked it up or not.
