Got the same exact rifle. Nice gun, but a little heavy at 12 lbs (scope and loaded clip). If you put a scope on it, might I suggest the Warne Quick Detachables. Have fun with it...it doesn't quick as bad as you might think.

Warne or Talleys will be the mounts--scope(2.5x8 Leupold) will come off my 458---that's the plan for now--chris

With the exception of mine being a Model 70 Winchester I have the same scope and the warne rings. It was my faithful companion for ten years of guiding Brown and black bears in Alaska and for the first 7 years I was working In Africa. I did have the 4A reticles put on it by Premier. Now it can be used all night long for the cat and Hyena hunts we often do. The difference in the functional use of the scope in low light is exceptional with the improved 4A retical over the Duplex Leupold has as standard.

My work rifle now is my 458 Lott with machined solid Peep sights only.
