I can't access one single website (MM :D).

I get the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage."

I click on "Diagnose connection problem" and get "Windows cannot find the host name "www.monstermuleys.com" using DNS.

I first contacted the website to make sure I wasn't banned, that they were not having server problems, or my IP addresses were not blocked. Everything was "go".

I talked to my internet provider and they had me check for browser updates, turn off my firewall, security, etc. Nothing worked.

I checked my security tab and the site is not listed in "restricted sites."

I tried pinging MM and get "Ping request could not find host monstermuleys.com."

Everyone else I've talked to can access it, so no need for you to go try and then come back and tell me it works for you. ;)

Anybody got an answer, other than for me to count my blessings and move on?:D

Clicked on it and got there... Using Google Chrome.

Try loading Chrome, it is way better than Internet Explorer...

And other than downloading a new browser?:D

Mozilla was suggested, but when I tried to download it, I got a "corrupt file" warning.

Google Chrome installed. MM attempt: "Oops! This link appears broken. DNS error - cannot find server."

Sucks to be you.... :D

There are some "bounce" websites that you can go thru to get to ones that your wife has blocked you from going to.

How much were you using MM before she cut you off?

I'm definitely a user....I don't give much back.;) Browtine did the checking for me, and said I was not blocked for my transgressions. Well, he said I wasn't blocked, period.

Oak what happens is the hub you are going through in your area may have a problem, it has nothing to do with browsers.
fior example when you visit hunttalk from your place you might have 20 places it pipes through till you get connection. were if I go to hunttalk I may only have 10 places it pipes through.

I am guessing weather? might have caused a disruption or a change in your provider in the way the route something or other routes may have changed.

it happens from time to time.

right now I cant remember the command to use in your dos window to look it up.

Just trying to decide why the wife banned MM?

Magnum Males?

Massive Men?

Muscled Males?

Sorry Oak:D

Could be, Dink. The wife is the jealous type. ;)

*Edit: She's probably hoping I'll get my arse off the 'net and earn some money.

Thanks Del. Will it fix itself?

Yes it will generally pretty fast but have seen it go a day at the most.
one thinng you might want to try is goto MM then hold down your "CTRL" key and hit F-5

this will do a quick clear cookie refresh I think they call it. sometimes the cookies get screwed up in your pc.

another thing to do is shut all your browsers down. then goto the run screen and type cookies

click ok, then find the MM ones and delete them, or just delete all of them
then rebooot and try it again.

I suck at tech terms

I haven't been able to get on since yesterday morning. I cleared all the cookies earlier today, rebooted, and that didn't work.

I just called somebody across town here that uses the same internet provider as me, and they couldn't get on the site either. I think you are right that it is a problem with my net provider. They were little help when I talked to them today.

your not trying from work are you? maybe a firewall was put up for that site. Happened to me for a week of so last spring but all the sudden cleared up

Yeah, from work. That's why dink thought maybe it was the wife. I work from home. ;)

Oak
goto your command prompt and type

tracert www.monstermuley.com or how ever they spell it, it will find were the problem is on tat connection. if it persists send that info to your ISP provider.

"Unable to resolve target system name www.monstermuleys.com"

Doesn't mean anything to me, but I'll talk to them tomorrow. Thanks for the information.
