So I emailed my congressman and senators about my opposition to reintroducing wolves to Colorado...this is what I got back....

Dear Mr. Cushman:

Thank you for taking the time to contact me. It is an honor to serve the people of Colorado here in Washington, D.C., and your communication is a vital part of our legislative process.
Protection of wildlife is an important part of preserving our natural environment. To that end, I support efforts to protect endangered species while maintaining multiple use management on our public lands. Gray wolves are valued wildlife, and programs tasked with their protection must be carefully monitored to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the House of Representatives to provide oversight of the Department of the Interior and its management of public lands and wildlife.
Thank you again for your engagement on issues impacting our home state. Please don’t hesitate to contact me again in the future if I can be of service. If you would like more information on issues important to Colorado and the Third Congressional District, please visit my website at http://tipton.house.gov.

Sincerely,

Scott Tipton
Member of Congress

John,

Did you send those comments in to the USFWS?

Form letters are like boobs - you've seen one, you've seen 'em both. :D

There was a form letter, like a fill in the blanks letter, from BGF that I looked at and kinda used it as a guideline for my own letter.

Thanks for the info Ben Lamb. This is my first foree into politics like this. I'm a total newbie at the whole letter writing and emailing thing.
