Wanting to go scout this group of units for 1st rifle elk, but not sure where to start. It's a lot of area to cover. Does anyone have some starting points as far as access areas and parking? Any info would be appreciated don't need your secret spots, but I'd take them 😂. I don't mind hiking and putting in the work I'm just hoping someone can get me going me going in the right direction. Thanks

Hey Troy, My name is Dan and I am currently a Navy Pilot stationed in Virginia Beach, VA. I originally pulled a 1st rifle elk tag for 31 (and 21/22/30/32) as a backup and it's looking like my primary now. I was supposed to be hunting with my old man and he sustained an injury and can no longer go. DM if you are interested in linking up in some capacity.

#32 has a lot of access which equals a lot of hunters. used to hold elk in the thick stuff in the creek bottoms. were never very vocal.
