My wife and I will be spending 5 days in Colorado Springs at the end of June for a work conference. Never been there and I know a few of you on here are from there. Anything special you would recommend doing or seeing while we're there? Thanks in advance.

Most of the places I've visited in Colorado, I've really enjoyed so I'm pretty excited about our trip.

Garden of the Gods is a must, Rodeo Hall of Fame, Pikes Peak, just a few to get you started. Hope you have a good time while you are there.

Garden of the Gods is great. I liked looking around the USAFA. It's a bit of travel, but the Royal Gorge is nice too.

If you fish, go a little west of CO. Springs and fish the Eleven Mile Canyon. Even if you don't fish its pretty cool to drive through.

You can take a drive up to the top of Pikes Peak. Vist Woodland Park, Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. Hiking Red Rocks or Cheyenne Mtn State Park is pretty cool to get away from all the Garden of the Gods tourists. Downtown is alright too.

I live in the Springs so you can PM me if you want any other details.

Colorado Springs is awesome! First night here and my wife and I took a walk after dinner and saw deer everywhere. Pretty cool. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera so I had to use my phone.

Hah, gotta love the city folk there in the Springs.

Everyone suggested some good places to get out. If you're a drinker, beer that is, you have another couple good options. Coors up in Golden, New Belgium up in Ft. Collins, TommyKnocker up in Idaho Springs. Downtown Springs has Phantom Canyon. If you drive up to Manitou Springs stop by The Keg for some crab legs then walk around town and hit the candy store. If you really have time, head up to Estes Park and check out the local Elk residents.
