Got it done opening day! Even though it was ridiculously windy, the birds were moving. Most of the ones I saw were with hens, but found a little group of gobblers working some sandbars. Called him in to 20 yards. Colorado DIY public land! First Rio, time to figure out an Osceola Hunt now!

This comment made me think that we should make this the defacto ‘CO Turkey 2018’ thread since we are lagging the Montana guys and D-Mac got on the board first

Buddy’s wife and I both drew a primo tag 2 years ‘early’ due to a combo of a tag increase and some higher point holders screwing up and applying as a group. Headed down next Thursday through Cushman’s neck of the woods. My buddy had the tag last year and I had it in 2014. Both hunts were fantastic. I’m all packed and ready!
