Cocky eastern Montana antelope

Antelope are sure getting cocky here in eastern Montana. I’d already been shooting for half an hour when these two does come strolling by the bench to head out to 150 yards and feed. A little while later one decided to head towards the 200 yard berm. I apparently don’t have that intimidating killer look anymore. Going to have to get after them this fall to get my rep back.

deer, turkeys and small game around here I am convinced they must frequently check the hunting season calendars. From the minute season ends to the day before it begins again they are in the yard eating my trees,flowers and everything else. As soon as it becomes legal to kill them they are no where in sight.

They are just as amazed at the kind of the groups your rifles shoot, as we are, and wanted to get a closer look. Even with their incredible eye sight a one hole five shot group can be tough to decipher.

I have had multiple elk stroll right by me while bear hunting this season. Never seems to happen during the fall!

And all the deer are riddled with CWD. The hospitals are few and far between. Meth sold like candy in the stores. Dangerous roaming gangs of yetis....

Happens all the time around here with mule deer or moose. Every time I tell myself: "that is the stupidest *insert animal name* I have ever seen"...

I've had elk on the Prickly Pear Sportsman's Range outside of Helena.

Have seen wolf prints in front of the 100 yard berm too.

Deer who wouldn't move out of the way, bunnies, etc.

It's like they're taunting us. Wildlife are asshats.

We often have antelope wandering across our rifle and shotgun ranges. Two different springs, we had an antelope doe drop her fawn in front of our skeet range, while we were shooting and the shot going over her. Here's me shooting low 8 at skeet with several antelope feeding less than 50 yards from us.
