Chukar chicks

It looks like this years hatch was a good one after all. Been seeing quite a few broods from 1/4 grown to 3/4 and just getting the bars on their sides. I haven't seen this many chicks for several years. Hard to make them out but here's a pic I took today

Chukars are an amazing bird. The last time I hunted them was at Rye Valley, fairly close to where you're at, I think. I hope it was a good hatch in a lot of places, there have been some tough ones the last few years.

Our hatch up this way is looking very good thus far. TONS of grasshoppers for the chicks to eat.

Sure hope so, last year sucked for us! The last good chukar year I had was in 2010.
