I quit buying stuff from Cabelas. Last couple of items I bought were defective.
I bought two dress belts off them, both of them broke when I went to buckle them. (my girth isn't that great).
Stopped at the store in Hamburg Penna, and bought a pair of slip on moccasins. Tried them on in the store, the clerk went and got them out of the backroom. When I got home they were the wrong size, cannot even get them on my feet. When I called the customer service line to see what could be done, I was told to take them back to Hamburg and they would be replaced. I explained that I live 3 hours away from Hamburg, that I paid $29 for the shoes, and the fuel, and toll cost would be far more than $29. He said, that is their policy on shoes. I think I should have at least been able to return them via mail and get a refund.

Spitz---If you can get that from El Paso to Wisconsin so he can use it by the 25th, it will cost a bundle!
Whiskers---I would think you would want to check and try on any type of shoe, boot, etc. before leaving the store. IMO you are as much to blame for that booboo as the clerk. Cabelas can't be beat for making good on just about anything you buy from them and even though they are now a little stricter on their return policy, they are a lot better then most places.

I checked the shoe size on the box, it was the correct size. Your right, I probably should have tried them on, but wanted to hit the road. I still have the shoes, and the receipt, next time I get close to them I will try to trade them.

I a would love it! need a new pair of work boots. I'm going there on Sunday to get boots and ammo. Any little bit will help out a lot.
