I went to college in Chico. I would hike this exact trail at Upper Park with my dog. I am sorry this happened.

They had a vote and decided to stop hunting lions years ago and just last week Gov. Brown proclaimed that fish and game cannot take out any lions period.

And, I just read that Maine is having a vote in 2014 to stop all bear hunting.

I saw something that said fish and game can longer use lethal force on problem lions. I will try and look for the article. I am so glad I got out of there.....the land of fruits and nuts.

Sad deal about the dog, glad the ladies didn't get hurt. The loss of this dog lies squarely on the shoulders of every last one of the morons who voted to outlaw lion hunting.
