Took us two weekends to finish our hunt , took 3 deer and a bear. 2 grandsons and son all successful, had to eat my tag, just too slow to take the nice buck that we watched go over the skyline. Windy, our newly initiated mule packed out her first without any problem. Tried packing out the bear next,, but that was a different story, after skinning it out and putting it in the pack bags, then it was not a problem.

The eyeguards on that middle buck look unreal. Looks like a hell of a good time.
Cheers

Looks like a great hunt and great animals, congrats! Nice to see photos out of CA that are so different from what I think of when I hear 'California.'

Congrats on a great hunt and some very good deer! I think I could get along with Windy. Mules sure do make packing a more enjoyable experience.
