Curious on how they Covelo A30 specific hunt works. 40 tags issued? Is there much access to public land? I’m guessing not even worth waisting a choice.

Hunt it with a Bzone tag OTC before you choose to apply for the late hunt. You need to know the country before you go there in late season. The Late muzzleloader hunt is going on at the same time. Also Bear season is open during that time.
Because of the General availability of the regular season tags, very few people are going to share specific information. It is too crowded for my taste in the rifle season, and I'm always looking over my shoulder for pot cultivation sites.
