That's pretty cool, Woodrow. I shoot Nosler BT's in .270 and mine don't even get as far as the far hide on short-range shots (30-50 yards). I don't spend a lot of time digging around in the guts, but it appears that they essentially explode in the body cavity. They are certainly not constructed to hold together in high-velocity impacts, but, like yours, my deer never go very far after being hit by them...so I don't complain too much.
