My brother got a G-Bear draw this year. First year applying... I've been applying since I don't know when and have never got the draw. Go figure... Our plan was to go the last week of May. Which we did. But I think we were about a week late with this warm spring. We seen a couple g-bears... no shooters. I chased a bunch of black bears with my pointy sticks. Nothing that was worthy of poking. So here' some of the scenery...

discarded swizzle stick we just happened to find...

After working all night and making a 2 hour hike through hot n humid alders... I couldn't wake my brother even by throwing rocks at him...

Did some fishing... dry fly action was good. Kept hammering bulltrout... but we ended up eating this little rainbow for lunch...

We seen a lynx a day out there and there was also a huge number of grouse and bunnies.

Wow. That MacGyver job looks impressive.

My brother ended up switching out the ass end of his truck to disk brakes. Pulled them off an S10, so you know cheap cheap. The one retaining ring between the wheel bearing and seal wasn't thick enough. So on corners it was howling and grinding. So we wedged in some haywire with an axe and got us through the week.
