I got my lion scored today 14 13/16" final. All time Boone minimum is 15". He will make the Awards Book that minimum is 14 8/16".

He will also make Pope and Young minimum 13 8/16".

I am plenty happy with him since he is my first lion and shot with a bow.

Nice Kitty Kitty . Remember the Hunt, with passion, and don't remember the score. That is a wonderful life experience..

Very nice Cat. Did he knock his tooth out in the fall or was it already missing?

It was missing. Completely healed, and gone. That had to hurt.

I know a young man that killed a raghorn bull a couple of years a ago less then a mile from where this cat was killed. The bull had a lion canine stuck in its forehead. Not sure what the holes are in a skull but you have all seen them on euro mounts, There are two of them on each side of the skull, one slightly larger then the other between the eye and the base of the antler. The canine was stuck in the larger hole. The main part of the tooth was in tack as was most of the root, with little gum and tissue. I have a pic of it on my work computer and will post it Monday.

Could it be the same cat, I don't know. I am going to hook up with the guy and see if there is any way to tell if its the missing tooth.

Coincidence? Maybe. A found lion tooth less then a mile of a cat that is missing a tooth? May never know, but a cool "what if"

What would the odds be that it was the same cat? The would be a great story if it was the same cat.

Cant wait to see the pictures.

Here is the pic of the elk head with the lion tooth stuck in it.
