BLM land swap with Mormons

I dont really know enough about this one way or the other. But i am going to send it along to people who might who arent here.

Just from the map im a bit skeptical.
 
Make approval include caveats that UT legislators will never be allowed to propose alterations to federal public lands in the future. And that Bear's Ears, EGS nat'l monuments remain at their 7/1/26 boundaries.
 
I have no issue with them owning land for church buildings but why do they need to own thousands of acres of range /timber lands. They have been buying up farm lands around me lately and I know one of the first thing they did is start applying for landowner tags. No idea what the plan they had for using those was/is
Revenue?
 
So, the article is misleading. There is access to both the parcels the public is going to get.

I think this exchange makes sense.
