I couldn't give a chit less about them buying the land.

What bothers me is how they try to stop others from doing the same thing (AP).

I also don't like that they buy undue influence to change the NAM, PTD, and public land management. Also don't like that they try to change things like stream access, state land access, ridiculously one sided land exchanges, PLT, etc.

The agriculture happening on the diamond cross is far from the top priority and will be curtailed for wildlife.

Not really. There are obviously areas you can’t hunt, urban areas that are archery only, stuff like that.

I totally understand and agree that UPOM and their ilk’s positions against AP and public property rights in general are self serving and repugnant and we should be willing to band
together to protect public access, public ownership of wildlife, etc…, but none of those things can undermine private property rights along the way.

Well the problem, gerald, is that there are those that believe land ownership entitles you to wildlife. And make the false equation of private property "rights" and special interest benefits.

Wildlife is indeed held in trust for the citizens of each state. The tags to harvest them, however, are an administrative function to be directed by state elected officials and/or wildlife departments. Two completely different things, a lot of people don’t realize that.

There is nothing preventing you from observing your wildlife residing on these ranches (as long as you do not trespass to do it of course).

There is nothing preventing anyone acquiring these ranches to get tags the old honest way (drawing) - the same way you do.

As I’ve said before I hope someday to have enough money do you guys to start a thread about me. From my understanding the guy that bought the governors tag will be hunting that ranch for the last 3 weeks of season and another guy I heard about that drew a rifle tag will be hunting it for 10 days I believe. It may be private but it’s accessible

Based on that article, it sounds like there’s a possibility they won’t be.

The article is sensationalizing a simple dispute to generate clicks and associates it with other public land issues, which are completely independent of the parties mentioned and the transaction. For example, the Diamond Cross transaction has nothing to do with the APR. Many of the parties mentioned in the article are good people - the media; however, continues to show they're as much of a joke on the local level as they are on a national level.

He will be too busy wondering why the long time bma enrollee is not enrolled anymore.

That has been going on forever, but that does not make it any more fair- agree with you there. As an NR, I’m in this weird space of hating it while also rooting them on.

It seems like its simple envy - but its still strange to me. You dont have access to western hunting permits, so burn it all down?

I suppose thats better than someone getting their pockets lined, sell shit as compromise, and pretending to be an advocate. You strangely do it for free.
