I couldn't give a chit less about them buying the land.
What bothers me is how they try to stop others from doing the same thing (AP).
I also don't like that they buy undue influence to change the NAM, PTD, and public land management. Also don't like that they try to change things like stream access, state land access, ridiculously one sided land exchanges, PLT, etc.

The selective outrage over "production ag land" is what i cant understand.
The agriculture happening on the diamond cross is far from the top priority and will be curtailed for wildlife.
No one cares. Unless its the boogie man apr.

Not really. There are obviously areas you can’t hunt, urban areas that are archery only, stuff like that.

What connection does UPOM have to this article, the Diamond Cross and the disputed outfitter lease?
Or is the point of this thread to bellyache about things we don’t like?
I totally understand and agree that UPOM and their ilk’s positions against AP and public property rights in general are self serving and repugnant and we should be willing to band
together to protect public access, public ownership of wildlife, etc…, but none of those things can undermine private property rights along the way.

There is an election every other year in Montana when the citizens could address the problems they complain about. Not holding my breath on the hope that the 2027 legislative session will be any different.
