No joke, same here. Awesome pics though thanks for sharing. It seems early to me for them to be out, but I usually don't get out in bear country until April 15th or later.

We had a trail camera over a bait last season and the 2 bears we had hitting it were nocturnal until about April 20th-ish.

Very cool photos! I think that last bear wanted to snuggle, I'm sure it would have been safe to just crawl on into the den. Even if I was with someone fatter and slower than me, I don't think I'd be getting that close of a look.

Excellent. I am planning my AK hunt and seeing those pics gets me excited. I have never found what I was sure to be a bear den. That is a really cool pic sequence.

Great pictures! That is interesting the sow would run back to her den and let you get that close. I would have expected a different response.

The bear in the den was acting very submissive and did not even want to look at me. It even went so far as to cover its eyes with a paw at one point.

This is funny, my first thought when I saw the pics in the den, was that the bear looked like my lab when he is feeling guilty for doing something he knows he shouldn't.
