Banking bucks

I would say the bank is more like a casino. Most of the time you lose but some times the pay off is big.

I would guess that there are very few hunters that shoot the first buck they see now days unless that buck a nice one.

Most of the hunter I talk to say they hold out but talk is cheap. After reconsidering, "very few hunters" may be too strongly worded. There are far fewer strict meat hunters now than 20 or even ten years ago. A good poll for Hunt Talk could be do you pass on smaller bucks and how may on average a years.

First, love the "Muskeez Steps"! I think he is spot on for most of us. I hunt private land 99% of the time, so, I tend to pass on a ton of bucks for some reason or another. . .with that, I also sometimes go without a buck at the end of the year because I was greedy. Its a lot like gambling to me. . .yes he's a nice buck, BUT, I have pics of 3 others that are bigger so I'll pass kinda thing. If you hunt private ground the rules change a little as far as "banking" goes. . .it also depends on the size of the parcel of land you are hunting and if the neighboring landowners/hunters have the same philosophy or they shoot anything that's brown. As normal, a ton of great responses. This is my 2 cents from here.
