I'm currently shooting a Spot Hogg Whipper Snapper. I do like it but am considering switching back to an index style release.
Reasons for switching-
Late season hunting-Im think that even a light liner type glove is causing my anchor point to shift a bit. Could also see that with a index style release though, I'm guessing?
Thumb release getting bumped and falling off string- When Im stalking and inside what I would consider the kill zone, I want to be ready to shoot. Even though I may not be to the actual spot Im hoping to kill from. I dont like having the thumb release clipped to the string and swinging around but having it tucked away also does no good if the buck stands up early and decides to move beds.
I do like being able to clip the thumb release onto the string for late season whitetail hunting though.
Any input from those who have(or haven't) switched back to a index style release would be much appreciated
